Oct 10, 2014 Apparently some of these issues were fixed in the RGH driver (the same driver IntelliModder32 shamelessly copies for it's X3000 series of drivers - among others), but it's generally for the GMA 965 on 64 bit Vista systems, so the results my vary for the GMA 945 on Windows 7. Apr 20, 2009 The modded drivers for INTEL 945 are based on INTEL 965 the idea of the mod is to 'give' those things (SM 2.0, TnL, +MB) that the 945 dosent have thats why we use INTEL 965 drivers.
As some of you may of read in the general hardware section I've been somewhat outraged at my 4500M IGPU, on paper its a OK laptop chip that again on paper (10 unified pipelines) should be capable of playing older games with good FPS, yet it doesn't. So I've taken up arms and modded some intel drivers What I've actually done is taken the latest Intel drivers meant for the latest i5 and i7 CPUs with on-die IGPU and modded them to work with laptop IGPUs. The performance improvement. Is nothing short of staggering.
Here is what I used to score with the following configuration:T7700 (2.4GHz Dual Core, 4MB cache)2x2GB PC6400 5-5-5-154500MWindows Experience Index score for Desktop and 3D gaming with the latest vanilla intel drivers (2413) were 3.6 and 3.3, respectively. (Sorry no SS forgot to take one)With my modified 2413 drivers Desktop and 3D gaming scores are 3.6 and 4.1! As can be seen here;Based on latest 2869 driver, last driver I'll make. 3DM06 score with these is 925pts, I doubt these drivers are getting any better without somebody addressing the issues you can read about in the readme file. If I remember correctly, vanilla 2413s scored 740pts in 3D06. I've just finished some more driver tweaks, check this screen out, none too shabby looking for a 4500M I'm working on trying to get to 1100-1200pts in 3DM06. That'll be a truely maxxed out result for a 4500M, I'd love to see some 4500MHD or 4700MHD 3DM06 results when I release the revised driver (currently ver.2.1). Thanks guys.I instaled GPU Caps Viewer and it shows that my graphic card supports openGL version 2.0.I also checked my graphic driver and it’s the latest version. However I downloaded it again and installed but the problem still exists. Mhagan I didn’t have the opportunity to implement the fix because I could install the driver.I think no other solution but to uninstall this version of Photoshop and install another one.I would have three more things guys:. From GPU Caps Viewer I can see that direct X is installed, version 10.0 but under it is written that Phys X is not. May it play any role?. These will test out the fixed function pipeline, circa 1999 or so.b) Doom3/Quake4 no free version here, but they can be had for cheap as they are quite old. They use the ARB assembly shader API and Intel lists having that support, so they should work too. It’s odd that it doesn’t work for you, because I have used OpenGL apps on both an Intel 915 and an Intel 4 Series under Windows 7, and they work perfectly fine. Oh, they run like a turtle swimming against the tide through treacle, but they work.Intel themselves have a page on OpenGL support for the 965 at and according to that it does support OpenGL, but comes with following warning:Drivers that come with Windows. or that are downloaded from Windows. Update typically do not support OpenGL.
For optimal performance of OpenGL applications, install the latest graphics drivers from Intel.As this is direct from Intel themselves you may be able to use it as leverage for getting some better support from them - they specifically say “use our drivers if you want OpenGL”.I’d recommend at this stage downloading the Zip version of the driver from and trying the “have disk” install method (documented ). I’m suspecting that your previous attempts to replace your original driver may have failed (you might be able to confirm this by checking in Device Manager); this method will definitively replace it.You should note that according to Intel’s notes the 965 will only support up to OpenGL 1.5; I haven’t tested to confirm this but I suspect that it is capable of the full OpenGL 2.0 feature level but requires vertex shaders to be emulated in software (which is why it’s a better part for D3D than for OpenGL as D3D is able to emulate VS in software as well as run them in hardware).
